SPECIFIC REQUEST(S)OR RECOMMENDATION(S)&BACKGROUND AND JUSTIFICATION'
RECOMMENDATIONS
1. APPROVE a one year Lease with STG Realty Ventures, Inca for the premises at 3220 Blume
Drive, Suite282, Richmond, for occupancy by the Veterans Service Office, under the terms and
conditions more particularly set forth in the Lease.
2. AUTHORIZE the Director of General Services to execute said Lease on behalf of the County.
3. DETERMINE that the project is a California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) Class 1(a)
Exemption with the County Clerk; and direct the Director of General Services to arrange for the
payment of the handling fee to the County Clerk for filing of the Notice of Exemption.
FINANCIAL IMPACT
Approval of the lease will obligate the County to pay $25,344 in rental costs for the one year term of
the lease. Rental payments will be paid by funds budgeted in the Contra Costa County District
Attorney's Office.
BACKGROUND
The District Attorney's Office is.remodeling the north wing of the Richmond Administration Building
located at 100-37th Street, Richmond. The West County Veterans Service Office is located ;in the
north wing and is required to relocate to interim space of approximately 1,050 square feet located at
3220 Blume Drive, Suite 282, Richmond to accommodate the remodeling. The lease is for a one
year term''commencing December 19, 2001.
