SPECIFIC REQUEST(S)OR RECOMMENDATION(S)&BACKGROUND AND JUSTIFICATION
RECOMMENDATION
1. EXERCISE the second option to extend'-the lease with Dolan Foster Enterprises, Inca
2. APPROVE a one year extension of a sublease with Pre-School Coordinating Council for the
premises at 2711 A & B Willow Pass Road, Bay Paint, commencing April 1, 2002, for continued
use under the terms and conditions more particularly set forth in the Lease,
FINANCIAL IMPACT
The exercise of the second option was anticipated during FY 2001102 and sufficient funds are
budgeted within the Employment and Human Services Department The premises are subleased to
the 'Pre-School Coordinating Council and the sublease revenues are equal to the rental payments.
The monthly rental for the second option term of April 1, 2002 through March 31, 2003 is°$1,400.00
per month, an increase of$175.00 per month.
BACKGROUND
Since April 1, 1999 the County has leased and subleased the premises to the Pre-School
Coordinating Council to operate the Family Preservation Program. Approval of the lease second
option will provide for the continuation of the Family Preservation Program as requested by the
Employment and Human Services Department.
