SUBJECT: Declare Reserved Parking in County-Owned Lots in Downtown Martinez
and Adopt Rules and Procedures for Stacked Parking Program
SPECIFIC REQUEST(S)OR RECOMMENDATION(S)&BACKGROUND AND JUSTIFICATION
RECOMMENDATIONS:
1. ADOPT attached resolution declaring Reserved Parking in three County-
owned parking lots in downtown Martinez
2. ADOPT Rules and Regulations for the Stacked Parking Program
3. DESIGNATE the County Administrator or designee as Agent of the County
for purposes of administration and enforcement of downtown parking
restrictions.
FINANCIAL IMPACT:
This action will have no financial impact.
BACKGROUND:
The DRAFT Downtown Martinez Parking Plan was adopted by the Board of
Supervisors in October of 2000. Since that time the County, City and CCCTA have
worked together to implement the Martinez Free Shuttle which has redirected juror
parking to remote parking lots. In addition, the recent reconstruction of the parking
lot behind 651 Pine has added 43 spaces to downtown parking supply.
