Currently employees must apply annually to the Department of Community Development for a permit which allows them to park in the carpool lot. In addition to this requirement, the revised Rules and Procedures will require that two people exit any car utilizing the carpool lot. This requirement assures that the carpool lot addresses parking demand in downtown Martinez and simplifies enforcement of the carpool permit system. In further collaboration with the City of Martinez, the City Police Department has agreed to enforce these additional regulations.
