Contra ot Costa Jul 3 2001 '' ` DATE: Y I ��SrA•cou—, d County SUBJECT: Approval of Contract Amendment Agreement #74-037-2 with Contra Costa Association for Retarded Citizens SPECIFIC REQUEST(S)OR RECOMMENDATION(S)&BACKGROUND AND JUSTIFICATION RECOMMENDED ACTION: Approve and authorize the Health Services Director or his designee (Donna Wigand) to execute on behalf of the County, Contract Amendment Agreement #74-037-2 with Contra Costa Association for Retarded Citizens, effective June 30, 2001 to amend Contract #74-037-1, to add an automatic six-month extension through December 31, 2001 in an amount not to exceed $35, 829 . FISCAL IMPACT• This Contract is funded by State funds through the Employment and Human Services Department . BACKGROUND/REASON(S) FOR RECOMMENDATION(S) : On July 18, 2000 , the Board of Supervisors approved Contract #74-037-1 with Contra Costa Association for Retarded Citizens, for the period from July 1, 2000 through June 30 , 2001 , for provision of mental health services for recipients of the Cal-WORKs Program. Approval of Contract Amendment Agreement #74-037-2 will allow the Contractor to continue to provide services during the automatic six-month extension through December 31, 2001 .
