This position is needed to staff the Public Health Division Community Wellness and Prevention Program's Injury Prevention Project. The incumbent will be responsible for developing and conducting in-service child passenger safety trainings to medical and provider staff, conducting parent education sessions at a variety of hospital and clinic settings, organizing and conducting weekly car seat check-ups and fitting stations, developing educational materials on child passenger safety, and other related duties. A project position is being requested as fiinding has been provided for a two-year period (January 1, 2001 through December 31, 2002) from the California Department of Traffic Safety. The annual cost associated with this request is $35,112. Please place this item on the next available Board Agenda.
