SUBJECT: Add Three Full-time. Planner I Positions; Cancel Two Clerk
Beginning Level Positions #10613 & 10787, and Three Planning
Technician I Positions #10788, 10789, and 10790.
The Community Development Department requests the addition of three (3)
Planner I positions and the cancellation of two (2) Clerk — Beginning Level (NT)
and three (3) Planning Technician I positions. This action represents a yearly
cost savings to the Department of$16,500.
The Planner I positions will be assigned one each to the Current Planning ,
Conservation and Administration / Conservation Divisions. The Current Planning
position will review land use applications and prepare staff findings for review
and final Planning Commission disposition. The other two Planner I positions will
be utilized to meet the Geographical Information System (GIS) projects needs of
the Department in Conservation and Administration.
It is requested that this action be placed on the Board of Supervisors' agenda for
May 22, 2001. If there are any questions regarding this request, please do not
