Recommended Action: AUTHORIZE the Public Works Director to execute a Consulting Services Agreement with Berryman & Henigar for the 2001 Overlays-State Funded Project in the amount of$155,000.00. II. Financial Impact: There will be no impact on the County General Fund. The Consulting Services Agreement is for $155,000.00 and shall be paid for by California Assembly Bill 2928 Funds (100%). Reasons for Recommendations and Background: The construction contract for the 2001 Overlays-State Funded Project was awarded to the lowest responsible bidder on May 22, 2001. Construction activities are expected to begin on July 17, 2001 and the Consulting Services Agreement is due to expire on December 31, 2001. The construction management services include construction engineering, project management, and construction inspection. Berryman & Henigar was selected for the contract from a field of eight consulting firms. IV. Consequences of Negative Action: If the consultant Services Agreement with Berryman & Henigar is not approved, it may not be possible to complete construction of the approved project.
