(dba Rubicon Homecare Consortium) SPECIFIC REQUEST(S)OR RECOMMENDATION(S)&BACKGROUND AND JUSTIFICATION RECOMMENDATION(S) : Approve and authorize the Health Services Director or his designee (Wendel Brunner, M.D. ) to execute on behalf of the County, Contract Amendment Agreement #22-749-5 with Rubicon Programs, Inc. (dba Rubicon HomeCare Consortium) effective April 15, 2001, to amend Contract #22-749-2 (as amended by Contract Amendment Agreement #22-749-3) to increase the Payment Limit by $25, 000, from $110 , 000 to a new total Contract Payment Limit of $135, 00.0 . FISCAL IMPACT• This Contract is 100% State/Federal funded. BACKGROUND/REASON(S) FOR RECOMMENDATION(S) : On July . 18, 2000, the Board of Supervisors approved Contract #22-749-2 (as amended by Contract Amendment Agreement #22-749-3) with Rubicon Programs, Inc . (dba Rubicon HomeCare Consortium) for the period from July 1, 2000 through June 30, 2001 to provide in- home health care for AIDS patients .
