BACKGROUND: The Homeless Continuum of Care Advisory Board was established in 1997 to establish annual priorities based on the Homeless Plan, provide advice on existing policies affecting the homeless,and to provide community education and a forum for homeless issues. Nesbit Cruthchfield and Judy Sparks resigned from the Homeless Continuum of Care Advisory Board for personal reasons that would inhibit their effectiveness, it is imperative that these vacancies be filled immediately to ensure full representation on the Advisory Board. On Wednesday, April 4, 20011 resigned from Phoenix Programs, Inc. As you know, I was brought to the Continuum of Care Board as a representative Phoenix, therefore it is only proper that I submit my resignation at this time. I would like to express my gratitude and appreciation to you and every person on the homeless program staff for your support and assistance offered to me during these short months of our working together. I would also appreciate your expressing my heartfelt gratitude and thanks to all of the members of the continuum f of care board for their support and confidence in electing me to the position of Chair, and affording me the tremendous support in the short time I served as the board's chair. I am particularly grateful to Kathleen Hamm, and Terrie House my co-chairs, for their advice and support, and to Ginger Marsh for being my short-term mentor in my efforts to take over the tremendous responsibility of the chair. I can not end this letter without mentioning the guidance and patience to the Executive Committee of the Continuum of Care Board in their support of me. Please express my appreciation to everyone on the Board. Lastly know this, that ending homelessness is a priority in my life.
