RECOMMENDED ACTION: ApproN c and authorize the Chief Information Officer of Department of Information Technology or his designee to execute on behalf of the County an agreement with Man, Beth Paris to provide consulting services for the Pcoplcsoft system at a cost of$11.0,000 effective April 16.2001 through June 30. 2002. 11. .FI.NANCIAL IMPACT: Funding.for this contract has been budgeted for in the Pcoplcsoft project. Ill. REASON FOR RECOMMENDATION AND BACKGROUND: For the next 18 months staff from the Auditor's Office. Department of Human Resources and the Department of Information Technology will be working together to upgrade the Peoplesoft Human Resource/Payroll system to a new database platform and to a new release of software. To accomplish this,staff from those 3 departments will be required to add an additional i00%)to their daily workload. This contract is to provide technical assistance to support the production Peoplesoft system and allow permanent staff the time to work on the upgrade and reduce the amount of overtime work. I.V.
