Project No.: 0672-6U2519-01, CDD-CP # 99-76 DATE: May 15, 2001 PAGE 2 II. Financial Impact: The estimated contract cost of the project is $250,000, funded by Local Road Funds (100%). 111. Reasons for Recommendations and Background: The project is needed to repair a failed headwall on Withers Avenue. The Public Works Director has filed with the Board of Supervisors the Plans and Specifications for the project. The general prevailing rates of wages, which shall be the minimum rates paid on this project, have been filed with the Clerk of the Board and copies will be made available to any interested party upon request. The Board reviewed and approved the project on January 4, 2000 and determined the project to be exempt from the California Environmental Quality Act as a Class 1 d Categorical Exemption. A Notice of Exemption was filed with the County Clerk on January 5, 2000. IV. The successful bidder shall furnish a payment bond and a performance bond. The Board has ascertained the general prevailing rate of wages applicable to this work. The prevailing rate of per diem wages is on file with the Clerk of the Board of Supervisors, and is incorporated herein by reference thereto, the same as if set forth in full herein. For any classification not included in the list, the minimum wage shall be the general prevailing rate for Contra Costa County.
