As National Association of Insurance Women's Week )
RESOLUTION NO. 2001/221
WHEREAS professional insurance women constitute over 50 percent of those employed in the
insurance industry; and
WHEREAS the National Association of Insurance Women, International and its 3 75
local affiliates are dedicated to the development of leaders for the insurance industry; and
WHEREAS NAIWand its affiliates promote personal and professional development through
education, networking and leadership opportunities to all women in the insurance business; and.
WHEREAS both national and local organizations continually strive to raise the standards of
ethics, consumer education and customer service throughout the insurance industry; and
WHEREAS its many local affiliates are engaged in charitable activities to strengthen and
enhance hundreds of communities throughout the United States, Canada and Puerto Rico; and
WHEREAS professional insurance women have earned recognition for their many
accomplishments in the economically vital insurance industry.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Contra Costa County Board of
Supervisors do hereby proclaim May 20 through May 26, 2001 as 'National Association of
Insurance Women Week'.
PASSED AND ADOPTED ONMay 15, 2011, by a unanimous vote of the Board members
present.
