The additional Federal funds are expected to be available due to a supplemental Federal Fiscal Year 2000 Chafee Foster Care Grant, which was awarded to the State of California. The attachment displays the planning augmentation of$6,265,000 added to the original ILP allocation of$34,521,000 in State and Federal Funds for a total of $40,786,000 in State and Federal funds. The final augmentation allocation will be mailed following Legislative approval of the appropriate budget documents. The additional Federal funds will be distributed based upon each county's proportionate share of the total Foster Care cases, age 15.5 years and over as reported by counties for calendar year 1999 on the Medi-Cal Eligibility Determination System. Please refer to CFL NO. 00/01-15 for additional claiming information.
