IV. REASONS FOR RECOMMENDATIONS/BACKGROUND-
On August 15, 2001, the Board approved Interagency Agreement #39-811-14 with
the Contra Costa Community College District (College District) for expanded state
preschool services. On that same date, the Board approved Interagency
Agreement #39-850-6 with the College District for a full-day preschool program.
Over 250 children are served through these two agreements.
As a result of the Inflation — COLA/Minimum Wage adjustment passed by the
State Legislature and approved by the Governor, state preschool programs are
entitled to the above increases for the 2000-01 fiscal year.
