DECLARE vacant the seat on the IHSS Public Authority Advisory Committee held by Benjamin Conchas who is deceased and DIRECT the Clerk of the Board to apply the Board's policy to filling the vacancy. 2. Per the attached letter, accept the resignation of Geraldine Walker from the IHSS Public Authority Advisory Committee. DECLARE a vacancy on the IHSS Public Authority Advisory Committee and DIRECT the Clerk of the Board to apply the Board's policy to filling the vacancy. BACKGROUNn: Staff has learned that Mr. Conchas, a member of the IHSS Public Authority Advisory Committee, has died. It is therefore appropriate for the Board to declare his seat vacant so the process can go forward to recruit a replacement for his seat. Under current Advisory Committee membership policy, Mr. Conchas' seat is designated for a public consumer 60 years of age or older. Ms. Walker has resigned from the Advisory Committee for health reasons. It is therefore appropriate for the Board to declare her seat vacant so the process can go forward to recruit a replacement for her seat. Under current Advisory Committee membership policy, Ms. Walker's seat is designated for a public consumer 60 years of age or older.
