T00556 A new lease has been negotiated as follows: LESSOR: Housing Authority of Contra Costa County OCCUPANT: Health Services Department, Partners in Health Program. The Department has had possession of the premises since 1998. The Housing Authority expended $5,000.00 in maintenance and repair items for the County's occupancy. It was intended that the County would reimburse the Housing Authority for this expenditure. The lease provides for such reimbursement and establishes a formal lease commencement date of November 1, 2000. RECOMMENDATION APPROVE a Lease, commencing November 1, 2000;with the Housing Authority of Contra Costa County for the premises at 1744 4th Street Unit #602, Richmond, California for occupancy by the Health Services Department, under the terms and conditions more particularly set forth in said lease, and AUTHORIZE the Director of General Services to EXECUTE said Lease on behalf of the County; DETERMINE that this project is not subject to the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) pursuant to Article 5, Section 15061 (b) (3) of the CEQA guidelines; DIRECT the Community Development Director to file such Notice with the County Clerk; and DIRECT the General Services Director to arrange for payment of CEQA administrative, handling and filing fees. II. FINANCIAL IMPACT Payments required are to come from the budget of the Health Services Department. III. REASONS FOR RECOMMENDATION / BACKGROUND In 1998, when the Neighborhood House of North Richmond ended its North Start Drug Treatment Program located at 1744 4th St., Unit #602, in the unincorporated area of Richmond, the Health Services Department assumed continuation of the Partners in Health Program. The Housing Authority expended $5,000.00 in maintenance and repairs for the County's use of Unit #602.
