I. Recommended Action:
A. APPROVE Right of Way Contract and ACCEPT Grant Deed dated February 27, 2001 from
Louis Sanchez and Mildred Maudine Sanchez, as Trustees of the Louis Sanchez and
Mildred Maudine Sanchez 1988 Trust, U/D/T/dated September 6, 1988, as to 1/2 interest
and Rogelio Sanchez, a married man, as his sole and separate property, as to 1/2 interest.
B. AUTHORIZE Public Works Director to execute said Right of Way Contract on behalf of the
County.
C. APPROVE payment of$1,057,500.00 for said property rights and AUTHORIZE the Auditor-
Controller to issue a check in said amount payable to North American Title Company, 6116
LaSalle Avenue, Oakland, CA 94611, Escrow No. 54604-51250074-EBC to be forwarded
to the Real Property Division for delivery.
D. DIRECT the Real Property Division to have the above referenced Grant Deed recorded in
the Office of the County Rec

II. Financiallmpact:
The activity is funded by Drainage Area Fees and Flood Control Zone 1 Revenue.
III. Reasons for Recommendations and Background:
These property rights are required to add two detention basins and add 8000 feet of pipelines with
diameters between 48 inches and 24 inches. Drainage area 30C is located west of highway 4
between Oakley and Brentwood.
IV. Consequences of Negative Action:
The project will not have sufficient land rights to allow construction in accordance with the
approved plans and specifications.
