Centeno 3778 Gladstone Drive Pittsburg, CA 94565 BACKGROUND: The Advisory Council on Equal Employment Opportunity was established in July 1991 to serve as an advisory committee to the Board of Supervisors regarding the implementation of the County's Affirmative Action Plan, to review the Affirmative Action Program and recommend actions to facilitate attainment of the County's goal for affirmative action. The above nomination was endorsed by the Council and approved by the Internal Operations Committee at its March 5, 2001 meeting. The Committee now proffers its recommendation to the Board. They are Thurman Gupton and Evelyn Centeno, both Community Representatives. Evelyn Centeno would like to be reappointed to they,Advisory Council. Thurman Gupton has another job and is unable to serve on the Advisory Council. Monica Potter advised us that she is una�le to continue her term until November 30, 2001 as the representative for the disabled community. The Advisory Council will need to fill these vacancies as soon as possible. Please advise the Internal Operations Committee of our current vacancies and our request to reappoint Evelyn Centeno (attachment 1) to the Advisory Council from November 30, 2000 to November 30, 2003.
