ESTABLISH three Youth Associate Commissioner seats. BACKGROUND: In order to ensure adequate representation on the Human Relations Commission, the Chair of the Human Relations Commission finds it necessary to recruit and appoint individuals to participate on the Commission. Mr. Callejas and Mr. Rice resigned from their seats, and Mr. Seiminski was appointed to a permanent seat, thus vacating the Alternate seat. Other seats are recommended to be declared vacant because the incumbents' attendance has not been regular. The Commission Chair also recommends that three Youth Associate Commissioner seats be established in recognition of diversity issues amongst youths and in the schools. The Commission would appreciate the input from the youth of the County on the issues they face and the Commission could provide mentoring to the youth on diversity issues.
