DATE: February 6, 2001 °- •�a� County SUBJECT: CONTRACT AMENDMENT WITH LAWRENCE MALLON TO EXTEND CONTRACT THROUGH FISCAL YEAR 2001 SPECIFIC REQUEST(S) OR RECOMMENDATION(S) & BACKGROUND AND JUSTIFICATION RECOMMENDATIONS AUTHORIZE the Community Development Director or his designee, on behalf of the County Water Agency, to execute a contract amendment with Lawrence Mallon to continue services through 6/30/01 with no change in the contract amount of $55,000. FISCAL IMPACT No additional financial commitment is required. Approximately $4,000 remains on this contract, should services be required for the San Francisco to Stockton (Suisun Bay Channel and New York Slough Channel) Maintenance Assessment District 1999-1. Costs associated with this contract are paid through the Assessment District. BACKGROUND/REASONS FOR RECOMMENDATIONS CONTINUED The contract amendment is necessary to allow the contractor to advise the County Water Agency on matters related to the San Francisco to Stockton (Suisun Bay Channel and New York Slough Channel) Maintenance Assessment District 1999-1. The contractor would provide input on Assessment District issues which could include second year notices, the yearly report, the issuance of liens, potential contractual requirements and other related matters.
