SPECIFIC REQUEST(S) OR RECOMMENDATION(S) & BACKGROUND AND JUSTIFICATION
RECOMMENDATIONS
Authorize the Community Development Director or his designee to execute a contract
amendment with Sponamore Assoc. in the amount of$108,325.00 (which includes $25,000.00
for a contingency fund) for continued work to prepare EIR for the Camino Tassajara combined
general amendment plan amendment study(GP#980004:Braddock&Logan intervening
properties and GP#990002/990003: Alamo Creek)through project completion. This
amendment, effective April 1, 2000, increases the contract amount from $275,000.00 to
$383,325.00.
FT, _AT, IMPACT
None. The costs for preparation of the Environmental Impact Report will be covered through
fees paid by the applicants.
AAC_KO"ROUNDMASCONS FOR RECOMMENnATTONS
The Community Development Department, on December 19, 1999, entered into an agreement
in the amount of$275,000.00 with Sponamore Assoc. to serve as the EIR consultant for
Camino Tassajara Combined General Plan Amendment Study. This amendment would allow an
additional $108,325.00 for this contract. This amount includes a contingency fund of
$25,000.00 for possible cost overruns.

1. RECOMMENDATION
Board of Supervisors to EXERCISE, on behalf of the County, an option to extend the Lease
dated October 6, 1998 for the premises at 3029 Macdonald Avenue, Richmond, for continued
occupancy by the Health Services Department, under the terms and conditions more particularly
set forth in said Lease.
II. FINANCIAL IMPACT
Payments required are to come from the budget of the Health Services Department.
III. REASONS FOR RECOMMENDATION/BACKGROUND
Provide continued use of office space as required for the Sojourne Program of the Health
Services Department.

1. RECOMMEN12ATION
APPROVE a Lease, commencing May 1, 2000, with BALCO Properties for the premises
at 825 Arnold Drive, Suite 114 and Bay 4, Martinez, for occupancy by the Health Services
Department, under the terms and conditions more particularly set forth in said Lease, and
AUTHORIZE the Director of General Services to EXECUTE said Lease on behalf of the
County.
DETERMINE that the above project is a Class 1 Categorical Exemption under the
California Environmental Quality Act.
DIRECT the Community Development Department to FILE a Notice of Exemption
with the County Clerk.
