Recommended Action: That the Board of Supervisors of Contra Costa County, for County Service Area M-26: 1. ACKNOWLEDGE filing of Preliminary Engineer's Report and INTRODUCE Ordinance No. 9. 2. SET July 11,2000 at 9:00 a.m.in the Board of Supervisors' Chambers, 651 Pine Street,Martinez,California, as the time and place for a public hearing to consider oral and written objections and protests, if any, concerning the Fiscal Year 2000-2001 report. 3. DIRECT the Clerk of the Board to publish a Notice of Filing of the Preliminary Engineer's Report and Setting of Public Hearing thereon in accordance with Government Code Section 25210.77a (Government Code Section 6066)and County Ordinance Code Section 1012-2.608. 4. DIRECT that the County shall make immediately available to the public at the office of the Clerk of the Board and the Public Works Department a copy of the Preliminary Engineer's Report and Ordinance No. 9. County services to County Service Area M- 26 are funded entirely by the annual service charge. III. Reasons for Recommendations and Background: The Public Works Director has filed with the Clerk of the Board a Preliminary Engineer's Report containing a description of each parcel of real property receiving water service from.County Service Area M-26 for each parcel for Fiscal Year 2000-2001. IV. Consequences of Negative Action: The District would be unable to have the Fiscal Year 2000-2001 water service fees collected by the County Tax Collector, and would have to use an alternate method to collect the service fees. 67 a 6- . e3-0 ORDINANCE NO. 9 BEFORE THE BOARD OF SUPERVISORS OF CONTRA COSTA COUNTY, AS AND CONSITUTUTING THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF CONTRA COSTA COUNTY SERVICE AREA M-26 AN ORDINANCE PRESCRIBING THE ANNUAL'CATER SERVICE CHARGES FOR FISCAL YEAR 2000-2001 IN CONTRA COSTA COUNTY SERVICE AREA M-26 The Board of Supervisors of Contra Costa County, as and constituting the Board of Directors of Contra Costa County Service Area M-26, ordains as follows: SECTION 1. ANNUAL UNIT CHARGED FOR FISCAL YEAR 2000-2001. For fiscal year 2000-2001,the "annual unit charge97 referred to in Section 1 of Ordinance No.4 is prescribed at $490.00. SECTION 2. COLLECTION ON TAX ROLL. The Board of Directors hereby elects to collect the annual water service charge on the Fiscal Year 2000-2001 Assessment Roll. SECTION 3. EFFECTIVE DATE.
