SUBJECT: ONE YEAR LEASE RENEWAL, LAS DELTAS PROJECT PRIDE
SPECIFIC REQUEST(S) OR RECOMMENDATION(S) & BACKGROUND AND JUSTIFICATION
I. RECOMMENDED ACTION:
APPROVE and AUTHORIZE the Executive Director of the Housing Authority of the County of
Contra Costa to enter into a one year Lease Renewal with Las Deltas Project Pride of North Richmond, as
stated in the attached Lease Renewal.
II. FINANCIAL IMPACT:
None.
III. REASONS FOR RECOMMENDATION/BACKGROUND:
Unit No. 439, 116 West Grove Street, located in Las Deltas Development, North Richmond is used by Las
Deltas Project Pride to conduct meetings, provide resource information and other support services for the
residences of Las Deltas, as well as the surrounding community. This space is also used for special
youth programs.
The Las Deltas development consists of 226 low-income units. The Project Pride Programs greatly
enhance resident participation and on-site activities at this location. The resource information and other
support services provided will help put them on the road to self-sufficiency. This lease has been in effect
since May, 1996.
IV. CONSEQUENCES OF NEGATIVE ACTION:
Should the Board of Commissioners elect not to authorize the Executive Director to enter into a
one year Lease Renewal with Las Deltas Project Pride, the on-going services and programs would no
longer function and this would be a detriment to the development, as well as the community.

THIS SUPPLEMENTAL AGREEMENT made and entered into this 1st day

THE COUNTY OF CONTRA COSTA,hereinafter referred to as the"Authority",

WHEREAS,.by lease agreement between the parties hereto, dated
the Authority leased to Agency the right and
privilege of occupying space in the 116 W, Grove St., Unit#439, IZchm=d.
Califomia .,-of the Authority,and
WHEREAS, the Agency desires and the Authority is willing that such
lease be renewed for the term of one (1) year.
NOW,THEREFORE,the Authority for and in consideration of the
promises and covenants in the aforesaid lease, and other valuable consideration,
the receipt of which is hereby acknowledged,Hereby agrees that said lease shall

The Agency hereby covenants and agrees that during the course of the
renewal period the Agency shall perform and be bound by all of the covenants
