SUBJECT: APPROVE AND DETERMINE THAT THE STORM DAMAGE REPAIR OF MARSH CREED
1 MILE UPSTREAM OF STATE ROUTE 4 IS A CLASS 1 D CATEGORICAL EXEMPTION.
PROJECT NO. 7521-6D9L80. CDD-CP# 00-21, IN THE BRENTWOOD AREA
DATE: April 18, 2000
PAGE: 2
RECOMMENDED ACTION (continued):
AUTHORIZE the Public Works Director to arrange for payment of a $25 fee to Community
Development for processing, and a $25 fee to the County Clerk for fling the Notice of Exemption.
II. FINANCIAL IMPACT:
The estimated project cost is $ 32,000 funded by Federal Emergency Management Agency
(75%), State Office of Emergency Services (18%), Zone 1 (7%)
Ill. REASONS FOR RECOMMENDATION/BACKGROUND:
The project is needed to stabilize this section of Marsh Creek and prevent further bank erosion.
The project has been determined to be in compliance with the General Plan and is exempt from
CEQA because it consists of maintaining and repair of a existing flood control structure.
IV. CONSEQUENCES OF NEGATIVE ACTION:
Delay in approving the project will result in a delay of design and construction and may jeopardize
funding.
