On recommendation of the County Counsel, IT IS BY THE BOARD ORDERED:
Contract No. 46243 between Contra Costa County and 'William R. Rapoport is amended
to extend the termination date to December 31, 2001 and to increase the hours of service by 50
and the payment limit by $6000. County Counsel is hereby authorized to execute the involved
Contract Amendment Agreement for the County.

1® RECOMMENDATION
APPROVE a Lease, with ARCO Laboratories, Inc. for the premises at 2377 Stanwell Drive,
Concord, for occupancy by the Social Service Department, under the terms and conditions more
particularly set forth in said Lease, and AUTHORIZE the Director of General Services to
EXECUTE said Lease on behalf of the County.
DETERMINE that the project is a California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) Class 1(a)
Categorical Exemption and DIRECT the Director of Community Development to file a Notice of
Exemption with the County Clerk.
DIRECT the Director of General Services to arrange for the payment of the handling fee to the
County Clerk for filing of the Notice of Exemption,
If. FINANCIAL IMPACT
Occupancy casts are to come from the budget of the Social Service Department.
III. REASONS FOR RECOMMENDATION B BACKGROUND
Provide for the use of warehouse space, as requested by the Social Service Department. The
CEQA Class 1(a) Categorical Exemption finding is based on the minor alterations of the space
to accommodate occupancy by the Social Service Department.
