FISCAL IMPACT: This funded for this Contract is included in the Health Services Department Enterprise I Budget . Approval of this Contract will result in a cumulative twelve-month total in excess of $25, 000, and therefore, Board of Supervisors approval is required. BACKGROUNDZREASON(S) POR RECOMMENDATION(S)--: In February 1999, the County Administrator approved, and the Purchasing Services Manager executed Contract #`r26-359-'1 with Robert Pierce, for the period from March 1, 1999 through May 31, 1999, for the provision of consultation and technical assistance to the Department with regard to administration of the Environmental and Food Services, Plant Maintenance and Bio-Medical Engineering Divisions for Contra Costa Regional Medical Center. .Approval of Contract #26-359-2 will allow the Contractor to continue providing services through August 31, 1999 . Underhill, for the period from July 1, 1998 through June 30, 1999, for the provision of consultation and technical assistance with regard to the Alcohol Drug Abase Perinatal Task Force and Born Free Program. Approval of Contract Amendment Agreement #24-937-2 will allow the Contractor to provide additional services, including assisting the Department in forming a collaborate interagency relationship with County's Employment and Human Services Department, Child Protective Services Unit and Caltorks staff, with regard to monitoring and tracking common client populations, to create mechanisms for effective treatment and multi-agency case conferences. Approval of this Amendment will extend the Contractor's services through December 31, 1999.
