City of San Paolo
June 22, 1999
IBJ, REASONS FOR RECOMMENDATIONS/BACKGROUND:
On February 2, 1999, the Board of Supervisors approved Interagency Agreement #39-853 with the
City of San Pablo to provide full day child care to infants and toddlers for the period from
February 1, 1999 through June 30, 1999. At that time, the City had been unable to begin program
operation due to delays in construction of their child care facility and chose to subcontract these
program services to the County's Community Services Department Child Development Division.
The City's contract with the State has been renewed for the period from July 1, 1999 through June
30, 2000. The City would like the County to continue administration and operation of this program
for that period.
Approval of this Agreement will allow the County to continue to provide full day child care to
thirty-six (36) low-income infants and/or toddlers residing in the city of San Pablo.
