I review proposed legislation affecting the nutritional well being of CHDP children and may provide written or spoken testimony to legislative bodies. I revise sections of policy documents (i.e. - CHDP Health Assessment Guidelines). I interpret and administer those State and Federal regulations pertaining to Nutrition in CHDP and EPSDT Supplemental Services. I set upjectives for the Nutrition Component of CHDP. I analyze pediatric nutrition surveillance data to determine program priorities. I oversee program MOUS with community agencies. 28% RESOURCE DEVELOPMENT, ADVOCACY, OUTREACH & REFERRALS I conduct needs assessments to determine nutrition education tool needs. I generate needed resources to develop, revise and/or distribute education and training tools both county and statewide. I write "special project" Proposals for State consideration and have received funding for several statewide and Contra Costa projects each time I've submitted such proposals. I coordinate a system of referrals to Shapers, a community resource. As such I develop and monitor inter-agency agreements. I maintain communications amd make recommendations. I conduct education campaigns in the community, partnering and collaborating with multiple agencies. I advocate for the CHDP population with administrators, the county Board of Supervisors, medical providers, managed care plans, etc. I have advocated for inclusion of nutrition related objectives in county long term plans (ie.
