BARRY, AICP ` Costa COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT DIRECTOR County DATE: May 25, 1999 SUBJECT: EXTEND THE TIME FOR RECORDING THE FINAL MAP- SUBDIVISION (County File #SD937744) SPECIFIC REQUEST(S) OR RECOMMENDATION(S) & BACKGROUND AND JUSTIFICATION RECOMMENDATIQNS Authorize the extension of time for recording the final map on Subdivision (County File #SD937744) to expire on May 2, 2002. FISCAL IMPACT The cost is covered by a fee charged to the developer. BACKGROUND/REASONS FOR RECOMMENDATIONS Section 94-2.610 of the County's Subdivision Ordinance requires the advisory agency that originally approved the tentative map to extend the map. Subdivision 7744 was approved by the Board and the Board did not authorize the Commission or any other advisory agency to extend maps that were approved by the Board. Hence this item is scheduled before the Board for an extension. Subdivision (County File f#SD937744) for 14 single family residential lots was approved on May 2, 1995 by the County Board of Supervisors. Subdivisions are approved for an initial period of 36 months. Assembly Bill 771 automatically extended subdivisions which were in effect when the Bill became effective (May 15, 1996) for a period of 12 months. Subdivision 7744 expired on May 2, 1999. The applicant filed a written request with the County prior to May 2, 1999 to extend the time for recording the final map. Staff is recommending that the Board extend the map for a three (3) year term to expire on May 2, 2002. Due to the complexity of the improvement, i.e. Negotiating between the neighbors and Public Works, saving or removing trees, etc., it has taken a number of years to be in a position to flash our conditioned off-site improvement. We are hereby requesting the maximum allowed extension of five years of our Vesting Tentative Map. Sincerely, alsdon 1 10 FLYS-1 IndUSGr!LgI Court, r5Ciire 3 - Seri Remon,(,,ek iforme 94!5s
