Addendum No. 1 is needed to reflect the change in gond amounts that took effect January 1, 1999. For projects under $5 million, it requires a 100% payment band per state statute (old requirement was 50% for all projects over$25,000). IV. Traffic will be detoured via neighboring streets. 2. All signing to be in accordance with the State of California Manual of Traffic Controls. 3. Contra Costa County -- Center for Health shall comply with the requirements of the Ordinance Code of Contra Costa County. 4. Provide the County with a Certificate of Insurance in the amount of$1,000,000.00 for Comprehensive general Public Liability which names the County as an additional insured prior to permit issuance. Financiallmpact: There is no impact to the General Fund. III. Reasons for Recommendations and Background: The Board of Supervisors directed the Public Works and Community Development Departments to develop a Management Program for the Southern Pacific Right of Way from Concord to the Alameda County line. The Management Program shall include a landscaping component that will provide criteria for landscaping within the right of way and look at financing mechanisms for implementation and maintenance of landscaping. An Advisory Committee was formed to work with the two departments to develop the landscaping component of the Management Program. In April 1988 the Committee and staff selected a consultant, Bluhon Planning Group, to develop the landscaping component of the program. We have made good progress and the work is nearing completion. However, it is necessary to extend the consultant's contract to allow time for review by the cities of Concord, Walnut Creek, Pleasant Hill, Danville and San Ramon, and the public. IV. Conseguences of Negative Action: Lack of approval will limit the amount of review by cities along the corridor and by the public. THE.
