Britto (dba. Concord. Transportation Services-Sal ' s Taxi of Martinez) , effective March 1, 1999, to amend Contract #26-158-18 , to increase the Contract Payment Limit by $70, 000, from $140, 000, to a new total payment limit of $210, 000 . FISCAL IMPACT: This Contract is included in the Health Services Department ' s Enterprise I budget . BACKOROf7NI3/REASONLS) FOR RECOMMENDATION(S) 0n June 23 , 1998 the Beard of Supervisors approved Contract. #26-158-18 with Anton4-o G. Britto (dba Concord Transportation Services - Sal ' s Taxi of Martinez) , for the period from July 1, 1998 through June 30, 1999, to provide taxicab services for Centra Costa. Regional Medical Center; transportation services for patients to and from the Hospital and other health facilities; and transportation services for Mental Health patients to court, to Board and Care homes, and to recovery programs . This increase in the payment limit is due to an increase in activity which the Department is experiencing and expects to continue. Approval of Contract Amendment Agreement #26-1.88-19 will allow the Contractor to continue providing services through June 30, 1999 . REASONS FOR RECOMMENDATIONS/BACKGROUND: On May 7, 1996, the Board of Supervisors approved Contract #26-934 with Clark Tsai, M.D. , for the provision of Ophthalmology services, for the period from April 1, 1996 through March 31, 1999 . Approval of Contract 426-934-1, will allow Dr. Tsai, M.D. to continue providing Ophthalmology services for Contra Costa.
