Funding comes '92=1 l 5- 29, from Marriage license surcharges and is monitored through public health. rah: (925) 778-3091 This amount has not increased since 1993. In a report prepared by Wendel Brunner, M.D. in July 1997, it is unclear what happened to the original East County allocation and unlikely that the $76,807 was:meant 177 Lo Casa via,02 to include the original $49,899 allocated for East Count services plus Tawnut Cr.-ek,CA 94598 y ces 1'92,)799-727,3 services for tooth other regions of the County($76,8(37 less $49,899 leaves only $26,908 for the rest of the County). We will continue to provide comprehensive crisis intervention services including the hotline, victim advocacy and court accompaniment. We will also continue our excellent prevention services to middle and high school students in the County(over 7,000 reached in 1997-98) and closely coordinate services with the law enforcement agencies, the District Attorney's office and the Social Services department to create a Center of Excellence community response to the problem of sexual violence, particularly for children. An example of our growing collaborative work-, we are in the process of coordinating a third site for the Sexual Assault Response Team(SART)with the Contra Costa County Regional Medical Center, scheduled to open July 1, 1999. Please let me know if I should provide more detailed information about our services and clients to the Board. I can be reached at (510)307-4122. 1 look forward to discussing this with the fall Board on April 27. Sincerely, Beth L. Schecter, MPH Executive Director
