HomeMy WebLinkAboutMINUTES - 04271999 - C8 THE BOARD OF SUPERVISORS OF CONTRA COSTA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA Adopted this Resolution on April 27, 1999,by the following vote: AYES: Supervisors Gioia, Nilkema, Gerber, DeSaulnier and Cancianiila NOES: None ABSENT: None ABSTAIN: None RESOLUTION NO. 99/215 SUBJECT: Approve Subdivision Agreement and Subdivision Agreement for Right of Way Landscaping. Also Authorize Board Chair to sign, on behalf of the County, Quitclaim Deeds of Development Rights to the Developer for Subdivision 7903, in the North Richmond area. On October 28, 1997, this Board adopted Resolution No. 97/586 for the approval of the final map for Subdivision 7903,then being developed by Community Housing Development Corporation of North Richmond in conjunction with the Contra Costa County Redevelopment Agency, in keeping with this County's goal to provide affordable housing to its low income residents. Instead of the usual agreements and bonding required to assure the construction of necessary on- site improvements, this Board accepted several grant deeds of development rights, to be quitclaimed back to the developer when appropriate bonding became available. This was to minimize the bonding requirement without minimizing the assurance of construction of necessary improvements. Due to current demand for the developer's product and due to the developer's success in obtaining necessary financing and surety bonds, the following documents are presented for Board approval on this date: I. Subdivision Agreement A subdivision agreement with Parkway Housing, Inc., subdivider, whereby said subdivider agrees to complete all improvements as required in said subdivision agreement within one year from the date of said agreement. Accompanying said subdivision agreement is security guaranteeing completion of said improvements as follows: A. Cash Deposit Deposit amount: $6,000.00 B. Surety Bond Bond Company: Reliance Insurance Company Bond Number and Date: B 260 69 15 (March 31, 1999) Performance Amount: $602,600.00 Labor&Materials Amount: $304,650.00 Principal: Parkway Housing, Inc.
