SUBJECT: Ordinance Introduced To Create the Exempt Class of
Sensor Financial Counsel--Exempt
The following ordinance which amends the Ordinance Code of
Contra Costa County as indicated having been introduced, the
Board by unanimous vote of the members present waives full
reading thereof and fixes April 27, 1999 as the time for adoption
of same :
SECTION I : Section 33-5 .410 of the County Ordinance Code is
amended to create the exempt class of Senior Financial Counsel—
Exempt to read:
33-5 .410 County Counsel . The following classes in the
County Counsel ' s Office are excluded and
appointed or designated by the County Counsel :

ORDINANCE NO. 99 -
(Senior Financial Counsel--Exempt)
The Contra Costa County Board of Supervisors ordains as follows (omitting the
parenthetical footnotes from the official text of the enacted or amended provisions of
the County Ordinance Code):
SECTION 1. Section 33-5.410 of the County Ordinance Code is amended to create the
exempt class of Senior Financial Counsel--Exempt to read:
33-5.410 County Counsel. The following classes in the County Counsel's Office
are excluded and appointed or designated by the County Counsel:
(a) Assistant County Counsel—Exempt
(b) One Chief Assistant County Counsel--Exempt (who shall be an Assistant
County Counsel—Exempt or Assistant County Counsel (non-exempt) as
designated by the County Counsel to serve as Chief Assistant.
(c) One Senior Financial Counsel—Exempt.

Section 11. The class of Senior Financial Counsel—Exempt created by this ordinance
shall be abolished effective December 31, 2004 unless sooner terminated by
amendment.

SECTION III: EFFECTIVE DATE. This ordinance becomes effective 30 days after
passage, and within 15 days of passage shall be published once with the names of the
supervisors voting for and against it in the , a newspaper
published in the County.
