REAPPOINT Supervisor Mark DeSaulnier to a new four-year term on the Metropolitan Transportation Commission (MTC) ending February 9, 2001 2. INDICATE that the above change is the only one being made to the Board Order on appointments which was adopted on January 5, 1999. 3. INDICATE that this Order supersedes in its entirety the order on appointments which was adopted by the Board of Supervisors on January 5, 1999. BACKGROUND: MTC has advised the County that its members serve four year terms and that Supervisor DeSaulnier's term expired February 9, 1999. When the Board adopted an order on January 9, 1999 making appointments to various bodies, Supervisor DeSaulnier's term on MTC was continued only until December 31, 1999, rather than for the full four years. It is, therefore, appropriate to extend Supervisor DeSaulnier's term for a full four years at this time. In order to keep all such appointments current and in one document, we are recommending that the Board include in its order as revised listing of all the appointments that were made originally on January 5, 1999.
