SUBJECT. Supplemental Positions
My adopted budget for FY 98-99 contained sufficient funding to add eight non-sworn
positions to my department. These eight were identified early in the process, but l deferred
requesting formal approval until the fiscal stability of the FY 98-99 budget was
unquestioned. It is now clear that funding is available to increase staffing, and I request
your assistance in authorizing the fallowing additional positions:
Two OES Senior Planners
Additional planners are required to enable me to carry out the increased
requirements for leadership of the Contra Costa Operational Area, and for
preparedness for a wide variety of potential disasters.
One Clerk in F7scat
I am attempting to centralize a number of budget issues, and this position will work
with our Fiscal Officer to provide clerical support.
