write reports which serve as a Labor Market guide for the Human
Resources,Economic Development, and Career and Training Program.
Planning communities. The reports are used for career decision-making,
program planning,curriculum design,economic development,program
marketing and human resources management, and distinguish specific
requirements expected of job seekers. Additionally,I prepare and update
an educational and vocational training provider directory. This directory
serves as a resource for job seekers as well as the employment and training
community.
5% C}versight and Lead Direction: I oversee the technical research, the
calculation and interpretation of descriptive statistics, and the submission
of reports relating to Labor Market Products. I employ a Gantt Chart to
plot the amount of work and time taken to perform the work. I develop a
training directory that provides methods for performing the work. This
manual is also used as a resource for new temporary employees. I provide
lead direction to 1 v 4 temporary employees in the gathering of data.
% Gatheriniz Data: I collaborate with the State of California Employment
Development Department to identify an appropriate population of
employers from using the State provided Census. I refine the census to a
useable sample. This refinement process involves contacting and meeting
with employers to determine the disposition of various occupations within
the company. Prior to implementing all projects,I research local labor
market issues. I adjust the State provided occupational questionnaires to
meet local needs by developing questions that will address local workforce
issues. I oversee and participate in the telephoning and/or in person
interviewing between surveyors and employers. Additionally,I coordinate
the distribution of questionnaires to employers.

various forms. I develop charts and graphs in efforts of generating reports
for various local workforce and economic development programs, for the
business community.
Analyzing Data: I determine the objective of the study by identifying the
15% customer and their needs. I design computerized templates that arrange
raw data into categories for a final, useable, written format for each
occupation surveyed. I also use Excel spreadsheets to tabulate the data
based on specific reporting categories. From the tabulated responses, I use
various statistical measures in computing and plotting the data(e.g.
measures of central tendency for calculating and averaging wages;
measures of variability for identifying wage ranges`s;;asures of
relationship for determining the degree to which work experience, job
training, and hiring standards relationships exists within occupations; and
measures of relative position in plotting weighted average scores for job
skills). I develop labor market information that report on career, wage,
skill and training paths. The data are extrapolated and analyses
S
disseminated in various formats. Joh seekers, training and development
staff',job developers, human resources managers, and economic
development agencies use the findings. Additionally, raw data are used by
State agencies for inclusion in various Nationwide reports.
10% PmparingCharts and : During the process of tabulating data I
prepare frequency tables using an Excel spreadsheet and a calculator.
During data analysis I calculate the mean, median and mode;plot various
curves and pie charts;and develop tables, all for inclusion in written and
