SF-468. SPECIFIC REQUEST(S)OR RECOMMENDATION(S)&BACKGROUND AND JUSTIFICATION 1. RECOMMENDED ACTION: APPROVE Resolution No.4059 amending Section 8 Rental Moderate Rehabilitation Program Annual Contributions Contract No.SF-468 for the Housing Authority of the County of Contra Costa. 11. FINANCIAL IMPACT: Section 8 contract and budget authority in the amount of$1,057,440.00 has been reserved and obligated for increment numbers CAO I I MR000 I and CAO I I MR0002. This new funding increment is to assist persons with disabilities in support of designated housing allocation plans in accordance with the notice of funding availability that was published in the Federal Register. It enables persons with disabilities to rent affordable private housing of their choice. Funds must be distributed as indicated on the attached reservation worksheet. Ill. REASONS FOR RECOMMENDATIONTIBACKGROUND The Housing Authority has received notification from the U.S.Department of Housing and Urban Development(BUD) that Section 8 Moderate Rehabilitation amendment funds have been reserved for increment numbers CAO I I MROOO I and CA01 1MR0002. To secure these funds for the Section 8 Moderate Rehabilitation Program,it will be necessary for the Board of Commissioners to approve the amendment. IV. CONSEQUENCES OF NEGATIVE ACTION: Should the Board of Commissioners elect not to approve Resolution No,4059,amending to the Annual Contributions Contract,the Housing Authority could lose this reserved funding.
