APPROVE a Second Amendment to Lease with AB Development Company for the premises at 1220
Morello Avenue, Martinez, California, and AUTHORIZE the Director of General Services to
EXECUTE said Second Amendment to Lease on behalf of the County.

The amendment will save the General Services Department approximately $74,400 in rent over a
five year period.
III. REASONS EOR REC MMENDATIONS/ BACK ROUND
The Second Amendment to Lease will extend the existing term and provide a savings in rent over
the existing Lease.

A second amendment to lease has been negotiated to extend the lease term and lower the rents as follows:

RENTAL: Fix the rent at $16,550.00 ($1.13 sq. ft.)for the five year period commencing August 1, 2000.
TERM: Extend the term to July 31, 2005
COMMENCING: August 1, 2000
OPTION: Two - two years each
CANCELLATION: None

COUNTY RESPONSIBILITY: Everything, except structural integrity and the roof
