HomeMy WebLinkAboutMINUTES - 06091998 - C103 , .h*15 THE BOAR© OF SUPERVISORS OF CONTRA COSTA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA Extending a Cable ) RESOLUTION NO. 98f 311 Television License to } Ponderosa Cable Systems, Ltd. } WHEREAS on July 6, 1982, the Board granted a non-exclusive license to Ponderosa Cable Systems, Ltd. to construct, operate and maintain a community antenna television system within a certain area of Contra Costa County ("County") in accordance with Division 58 of the County Ordinance Code; WHEREAS the above described license expires on August 23, 1997; WHEREAS Ponderosa Cable Systems, Ltd. desires to renew its license; WHEREAS the County has requested additional informationfrom Ponderosa in order to complete its review and additional time will be needed for a consultant to review the information before staff can make a recommendation to the Board of Supervisors; and WHEREAS the County has asked Ponderosa to conduct a customer survey and additional time is needed for its completion and review; and WHEREAS the County and Ponderosa desire to extend the above-described license to facilitate completion and review of the renewal applications beyond the extension date of June 30, 1998; NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the above-described license to Ponderosa Cable Systems, Ltd. is extended to and includingOctober 30, 1998. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that this extension is granted contingent on Ponderosa's compliance with the Cable Television Ordinance (Ord. No. 93-55) and in accordance with all the consistent terms and conditions 'specified on the current license award resolution.
