MEETING OF THE BOARD OF SUPERVISORS OF CONTRA COSTA COUNTY MAY 19, 1998 Vice Chair Joe Canciamilla convened the meeting of the Board of Supervisors this day at 12 : 15 p.m. , in the Board Chambers, Room 107, of the County Administration Building, 651 Pine Street, Martinez, California. The Clerk called the roll, and Supervisors present were. Supervisor Gayle B. Uilkema, District II Supervisor Donna Gerber, District III Supervisor Mark DeSaulnier, District IV Supervisor Joe Canciamilla, District V The Chair then adjourned the meeting to Closed Session in Room 105 of the County Administration Building pursuant to the Closed Session Agenda attached. At 1 :85 p.m, with all five Supervisors present, the Board reconvened in its Chambers . Victor Westman, County Counsel, announced that in Closed Session, the Board had authorized County Counsel ' s office to join in a proposed amicus brief being prepared by the City and County of San Francisco to be filed in the case of Del Mont: Dunes vs. The City of Monterey, U.S. Sup. Court No. 97-1235, and that the vote on the matter was 4-1, with Supervisor Ui.lkema voting no. The Board then proceeded with its Agenda.
