II . FINANCIAL IMPACT: Funding for this contract is included in the 'Health Services Department Enterprise I budget . As appropriate, patients and/car third-party payors will be billed for services . III . REASONS FOR REC(?MMENDATIUNSl CKGR0V=: Linder (Contract ##26-328, the National Medical Registry will provide locum tenens physicians to work as temporary employees to provide vacation, sick leave, and extended leave relief for County-employed physicians at Contra Costa Regional Medical Center and the Conga Costa Health Centers. Planned Parenthood SPECIFIC REQUEST(S)OR RECOMMENDATION(S)3 BACKGROUND AND JUSTIFICATION I . RECCli�l�Eb ACTICIN Approve and authorize the Health Services Director, or his designee (Milt Camhi) , to execute on behalf of the County, Contract Amendment Agreement #27-168-1, to amend Contract ##27-168 with Planned Parenthood, effective January 1, 1998, to remedy the mutual mistake of the County and Contractor, to accurately reflect the intent of the parties. II . FINANCIAL IMPACT No change. III . MSONS FOR RLCQMMRN131TIOIS jBACItGRC? On March 24, 1998, the Board of Supervisors approved Contract #27-168 with Planned Parenthood, for the period from January 1, 1998 through December 31., 1999, for the provision of professional primary care services to Contra Costa Health Plan members. Due to the mutual mistake of the parties, the Contract did not accurately reflect the intent of the parties, which was that the Contract include, in addition to :the rates set forth in the Contract, provisions for the Contractor to be reimbursed for case management and annul incentive bonuses in accordance with the "Primary Care Compensation Plan, Details, and Examples" . The reimbursement amounts will vary based on panel size and quality standards and are to be paid from surplus funds. Approval. of Contract Amendment Agreement #27-168-Twill reform the Contract to accurately reflect the intent of the parties, so that the Contractor can be properly reimbursed for primary care services to Centra Costa Health Plan Members through December 31., 1999.
