DIRECT the Public Works Director to begin right of way acquisition. 11. FINANCIAL IMPACT: The estimated contract cost of the project is $75,000, funded by Measure C (100%). III. REASONS FOR RECOMMENDATION/BACKGROUND: The project is needed in order to protect Stone Valley Road from the erosive action of the creek which presently threatens to undermine the road. The project has been determined to be in compliance with the General Pian and is exempt from CEQA as outlined in Section 15301 of the CEQA Guidelines, because it will not involve an expansion of use beyond that previously existing nor result in the removal of any scenic resources. FINANCIAL IMPACT: The estimated contract cost of the project is $600,000, funded by Tas ajara AOB (100%). III. REASONS FOR RECOIVIAfIgNDATIONMACKGROUND: The project is needed to correct horizontal and vertical deficiencies and provide added sight distance to the traveling public. The project has been determined to be in compliance with the General Plan and is exempt from CEQA as outlined in Section 15301 of the CEQA Guidelines because the project consists of a minor alteration of existing facilities involving negligible or no expansion of use beyond that previously existing. The project will not result in the removal of any scenic resource. The Public Works Director has filed with the Board of Supervisors the Plans and Specifications for the project. The general prevailing rates of wages,which shall be the minimum rates paid on this project, have been filed with the Clerk of the Board and copies will be made available to any interested party upon request. IV. CONSEQUENCES OF NEGATIVE ACTION: If the project is not approved for advertising, it will not be constructed.
