In accordance with Section 34-12.002 of the County's .Employer-Employee Relations Resolution 81/1165, on March 17, 1998 the Oakley/Knightsen Firefighters' Association filed a petition for Formal Recognition as representative of its members who are employed by Contra Costa County Fire Protection District. The petition qualifies in that thirty percent (30%) of the Oakley/Knightsen Firefighters signed the petition. In accordance with Section 34-12.004(1) of the County's Employer- Employee Relations Resolution 81/1165, this is to advise the Board of Supervisors that on March 17, 1998, the Oakley/Knightsen Firefighters Association filed a petition for Formal Recognition of reserve firefighters in the Contra Costa Fire Protection District who are members of the Oakley/Knightsen Firefighters Association consisting of the following classifications: Reserve Firefighter, Reserve Captain, Reserve Driver- Operator. Proof of employee approval exceeds the minimum thirty percent (30%) requirement for qualifying the petition. In accordance with Section 34-12.004(2) and by copy of this memorandum, other recognized employee organizations are advised that intervention in the unit determination process and/or to appear on a representational election ballot requires thirty percent (30%) of employee approval and must be submitted to the Labor Relations Manager within twenty-one (21) calendar days from the date of this memo.
