RBCC MIMED ACTI#N: Approve and authorize the Health Services Director, or his designee (Donna Wigand) , to execute on behalf of the County, Contract #24-935 with, Crestwood Behavioral Health., Inc. , in the amount of $54,750, for the period from January 1, 1998 through June 30, 1998, for provision of mental health treatment services for Contra Costa County geriatric clients at Crestwood Geriatric Center in Fremont. This Contract includes a six-month automatic extension through December 31, 1998, in the amount of $54,750. II. FINANCIAL IMPACT: Funding for this Contract is included in the Health Services Department's budget, and the source of funding is County/Realignment 100%. III. REASONS FOR REC010fE'NDAT2t3N8 tRA+C'KGROU : This Contract is vital to the Department's Geriatrics Mental Health Program because it provides an alternative to both Morton Bakar Center and Napa State Hospital for geriatric clients in need of longer term psychiatric treatment in a skilled nursing setting. Adults, age 65 and over, who require such treatment for more than two years will be transferred from Morton Bakar and Napa to Crestwood Geriatric Center in Fremont. Under Contract #24-935, the Contractor will provide Mental Health Services for County through June 30, 1998. REASONS FOR RECOMMENDATION: Allocation of Job Training Partnership Act (JTPA) funds for County's overall JTPA Vocational Training Programs for program years 1997198 was approved by the Board on April 27,1997. RECOMMENDED ACTION: Authorize the Executive Director, Contra Costa County PrivateIndustry Council, to execute on behalf of the EASTBAY Works One Stop Consortium a Job Training Partnership Act (DTPA) 40 % Title III contract (#19-2035-0) with a maximum payment of$65,000, subject to approval by County Counsel as to legal form. IL FINANCIAL IMPACT: None, one hundred percent grant funded. III. CHILDREN IMPACT STATEMENT: This contract is to provide internet infrastructure linkage between the East Bay One Stops and satellite access points. This will support the third outcome—Families that are economically self sufficient. IV. REASONS FOR RECOMMENDATION: On December 2, 1997 the Board authorized execution of a contract with the Contra Costa Office of Education (#19-2035-0) for $55,000 for the period December 1, 1997 through June 30, 1998. FISCAL IMMT Funding is provided by Zellerbach Family Funds ($22,500) for Bay Point Works and within the Service Integration Budget ($17,320)for technical assistance. The Zellerbach Family Fund has awarded the County a $100,000 grant to support a community employment initiative in Bay Paint.
