ACCOUNTEMPS
SPECIFIC REQUEST(S) OR RECOMMENDATION(S) 6: BACKGROUND AND JUSTIFICATION
I. RECOMMENDED ACTION:
Approve and authorize the Health Services Director to execute on
behalf of the County, Standard Contract #23-073-9 with ACCOUNTEMPS,
for the period from July 1, 1997 through June 30, 1998, in the
amount of $65, 000, to provide temporary accountants during peak work
load, temporary staff absences or vacancies.
II. FINANCIAL IMPACT:
Funding for this Contract is included in the Department's Enterprise
I budget.
III. REASONS FOR RECOMMENDATIONS/BACKGROUND:
In November, 1995, the County Administrator approved and the
Purchasing Services Manager executed Contract #23-073-6 (as amended
and extended by Amendment Agreements #23-073-7 and #23-073-8) with
ACCOUNTEMPS through June 30, 1997, to provide qualified temporary
accountants to assist the Department's accounting staff during peak
work loads, temporary staff absences or vacancies.
Approval of Contract #23-073-9 will allow the Contractor to continue
to provide services through June 30, 1998 .
