RECOMMENDED ACTION: Approve and authorize the Health Services Director, or his designee (Wendel Brunner, M.D. ) , to execute on behalf of the County, Contract Amendment Agreement #22-491-9 with Diablo Valley AIDS Center, effective April 1, 1997, to amend Standard Contract #22-491-8 to increase the payment limit by $17, 500 from $199, 155 to a new total Contract payment limit of $216, 655. II. FINANCIAL IMPACT: This Contract is funded by federal funds through the Ryan White CARE Act Title I, Formula Grants, through intergovernmental agreements with Alameda County, who is the Grantee of these funds. No County funds are required. III. REASONS FOR RECOMMENDATIONSIBACKGROUND: On March 18, 1997, the Board of Supervisors approved Standard Contract #22-491-8 (effective February 1, 1997 through February 28, 1998) , with the Diablo Valley AIDS Center, to provide coordination of food services to persons with HIV Disease and their families. Approval of Contract Amendment Agreement #22-49.1-9 will allow Contractor to provide additional services through February 28, 1998.
