DAVID A. HIEB
May 20, 1997
To: Walter MacVittie,DBMAC Chairman
From: David A. Hieb
Subject: Resignation from the DBMAC Effective May 20, 1997
Walter, due to the pursuit of a new educational goal and recent career work load
requirements, I am not able to devote the time I feel is required to be a dutiful member of
the DBMAC and fulfill my obligation to the Discovery Bay community. I've sincerely
enjoyed serving on the DBMAC and the SAN 19 Committee with the present and past
members. The current DBMAC is a great combination of people that get things done
with little or no differences, and it has been a pleasure serving on the DBMAC for the
short time which I did. '
Please accept my resignation as requested -effective May 20, 1997.
This has been a hard decision,Walter, but I have business and career goals to pursue that
have my personal priority. I will be more than happy to assist in anyway I can on SAN
19 issues or other engineering questions and provide contacts or information of a similar
nature, Also, I be glad to assist the DBMAC in interviewing and/or selecting a
replacement for the vacancy that my resignation has created.
Thank you for the opportunity to serve with a great group of individuals on the DBMAC
and SAN 19 Committee.
Sincerely,
David A.Hieb
