BACKGROUND: In September 1995 the Board of Supervisors appointed the Crockett Community Foundation as the advisory council to the Board regarding expenditures from the Community Benefits Program funded from - property tax assessments on the Crockett Co-Generation Plant. On May 1, 1997, by the attached Resolution 97-1, the Crockett Community Foundation recommended that $134,500, in property taxes obtained from Crockett Co-Generation Plant be allocated to: 1 . County Service Area P-1/R-1 total of $47,500 to re-roof the Crockett Community Center; 2 . Crockett Library, a total of $10,000 to allow the continuing six ( 6 ) additional hours of operation; 3. Crockett-Valona Sanitary District, a total of $65,000 for repairs to a primary wastewater pumping station; and 4 . Crockett Recreation Association a total of $12,000 for repairs to the Crockett swimming pool.
